Samsung walks the land of the iPhone SE with sound
In times of crisis, the grand public is fond of mid-range smartphones embedding certain technologies acclaimed on premium devices of the moment. Samsung has understood this well by announcing this Wednesday the launch of its Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE), which will compete head-on with Apple's iPhone SE.
This new device, which takes the main features of the S20 range, adds a host of colors and targets the category of mid-range 5G devices.
The Galaxy S20 FE is designed to be an extension of the Galaxy S20 range with the most requested features on board. Among these features are in particular the famous refresh rate of the screen in 120 Hz so popular on the elders of the Galaxy S20 FE, the IP68 guarantee, fast charging, compatibility with induction charging or a battery of 4500 mAh.
However, Samsung has however had to make some adjustments to market its device at 659 euros, against 909 euros for the classic S20. Exit therefore the flat screen, replaced by a curved screen of 6.5 inches in Amoled Full HD +.
Regarding the photo, the Korean manufacturer has skipped its 64-megapixel lens, replaced by a 12-megapixel wide-angle and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, while featuring a 3x optical zoom and a 30x spatial zoom.
Available in six colors (red, orange, lavender, green, blue and white), the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is based on a Snapdragon 865 processor and will have, in addition to its SD card support, an internal storage capacity of 128 GB and 6 GB of RAM. Enough to allow it to seduce a very large audience as the end of year celebrations approach.
