Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most epic films from Marvel. Of the many action scenes that kept viewers spellbound during the film, one particularly left an impression on fans. This is the death of the android superhero Vision . While defending Wakanda from Thanos' army, the Avengers and Black Panther demanded that Princess Shuri remove the Spirit Stone from Vision's skull. Indeed, Thanos , whose age is estimated to be 1,000 years old at the time of the film , coveted her more than anything to complete her collection of six Infinity Stones .

Shuri explains what happened in the new Wakanda Files book
As she busied herself with removing Spirit Stone, Shuri was attacked in his lab. The attacker managed to walk away with Vision, which then led to the film's epic final scene and the inevitable death of the super- hero . Noticingthat Thanos was far more powerful than the Avengers, Vision asked Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, to destroy the Stone before the Villain could get his hands on it.
The Spirit Stone was destroyed, and Vision with it. Nonetheless, Thanos had a Plan B by then. He used the Time Stone to resurrect Vision and thus directly rip off the Spirit Stone , killing him again. In the end, Vision's death could have been avoided if Shuri had managed to remove the Stone before being attacked. In The New Book of The Wakanda Files , Marvel Studios explained why Shuri failed.
In fact, according to Shuri in The Wakanda Files, the task was impossible . The Princess of Wakanda explained that: “Two billion neurons connected the Mind Stone to Vision's processing neural network. Of course they [the Avengers and Black Panther] charged meto remove those billions of connections and redirect them in the middle of a battle so that we can destroy the Stone. A task that unfortunately I was not able to accomplish on time ". So the only reason Shuri failed to save Vision is simply that she ran out of time .
